As Union Rural Development Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan has presented a big gift to ‘Ladli Sisters’ across the country. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who launched the Ladli Behana Yojana as Chief Minister in MP and is now the minister at the Centre, still speaks about supporting women and girls in every way. He calls all women ‘Ladli Behana’. Besides being the Union Agriculture Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan also holds the charge of the Ministry of Rural Development. As Rural Development Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan presented a great gift to ‘Ladli Behana’ across the country.
Rs 2500 crore will be deposited in the accounts of self-help groups of sisters
On Sunday, the Lakhpati Didi conference was held in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Despite heavy rains, so many women came here that the pandals became small. In the conference, the Prime Minister NarendraModi certified appxoximately 11 lakh women as Lakhpati Didis. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed the women who had come to the conference and announced a big gift for their ‘Ladli Behana’.
He said 11 lakh Lakhpati Didis have been recognised. A total of 2500 crore will be deposited in the accounts of the self-help groups of the sisters. This amount will be invested as a revolving fund for the sisters. Shivraj Singh Chouhan also said that total of 5000 crore will be deposited in the accounts of the self-help groups by the banks.
Under the LakhpatiDidiYojana, loans of up to Rs 5 lakh will be provided to needy women. This is an interest-free loan and eligible women will not have to pay any interest. The women who belong to the self-groups are eligible to get the benefit of the LakhpatiDidiYojana. The government plans to provide the benefits of LakhpatiDidiYojana only to women who belong to self-help groups. This loan amount will be given to women so that they can start their own business. Women between the ages of 18 to 50 years can apply for this loan.
